Controls the format, range, view and order of your custom GL reports.
Required to run customized GL reports.
SAM Pro allows users to save previewed GL Reports as CSV (delimited) for import into Excel. This enhancement segments lines so that fields are distinct when saving as CSV so that files will reasonably formatted in Excel.
Obsolete GL Accounts: GL Reports (.grpt) omit printing lines for Obsolete GL Accounts when the line has no non-zero columns. This is regardless of the IncludeZeroLines registry entry.
Report Options:
The Report Options selector pane controls how the report will be output. Click Report Options to learn more.
Report Ranges:
The Report Ranges selector pane enables you to select a customized range for the report. When you click on a range, the criteria defining it will appear in the ID field(s). Creating a customized report range is discussed below. Notice that you must name a custom range in order to save it.
Range:
Enter a unique, alphanumeric name to save and identify your customized report Range. Ranges are defined by the contents of the ID fields.
Hint: You can create user-defined report ranges that are available to all users with access to that report. To do so, the first character of the named range should be an asterisk. Named ranges beginning with an asterisk will appear on all users' report ranges options so that they can be selected (but not altered) by any user with access to that report. Only the user that created the report range is allowed to alter it.
Round Dollars
By default, this field will be checked, and all dollar values will be rounded to the nearest dollar. Double-click on this fields to check/blank it.
Consolidated Report:
A report is automatically run in consolidated mode if the column definitions for the report do not contain any columns that identify entities. Previously, the ‘Consolidated Report?’ check box needed to be checked to run in consolidated mode.
Include Zero Lines:
Check this box if all lines including those with zero amounts should be printed.
Reporting Period Id:
Enter a valid Reporting Period Id or double-click to select from a list. This field is required.
GL Entity Group Id:
This field allows the user to specify a list of GL entities without having to list those entities in the GL Entity Id ‘range’ field. If both the ‘settings’ and the ‘range’ fields are entered, the ‘range’ fields are ignored.
Commentary:
The user may enter up to 400 characters. The contents of this text box will be displayed at the top of each page of the generated report. If the report definition includes a 'First Page Text' field, the new Commentary box will appear below the First Page Text Box. The contents of the Commentary field may be saved as a saved range.
GL Entity Id:
By default, GL Reports contain a line for each entity posted. This behavior can be overridden by checking the ‘Consolidated Report’ field on the Report Options screen.
A GL Entity is specified by simply entering the ID.
Several GL Entities can be specified by using a comma to separate the individual ID's (01,03).
A Range of GL Entities is defined by the first and last items of the range separated by an underscore (01_03).
Lines:
This informational field displays the number of lines per page for this report under the current font setting.
