This viewer is used to create, maintain and run custom GL Reports. Please click GL Report Overview for an overview of this topic.
If you are still using the old version of the GL Reporting Tool, your reports should be maintained from the General Ledger Report Viewer (Old Version) screen.
Consolidated Mode
A report is now automatically run in consolidated mode if the column definitions for the report do not contain any columns that identify entities. Previously, the ‘Consolidated Report?’ check box needed to be checked to run in consolidated mode.
The GL Reporting Tool allows users to save previewed Reports as CSV (delimited) for import into Excel. This enhancement segments lines so that fields are distinct when saving as CSV so that files will reasonably formatted in Excel.
GL Reports and Security: When a GL report is run, it now only looks at the GL Account security, regardless of the security associated with the GL Transaction. Previously, the report was “pre-filtering” GL transactions based on the Security of the GL Account itself and therefore was not showing everything that had the correct history security.
Obsolete GL Accounts: GL Reports (.grpt) omit printing lines for Obsolete GL Accounts when the line has no non-zero columns. This is regardless of the IncludeZeroLines registry entry.
