Maintain the Manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet Master information for this item. This data is included with a COP order the first time it is shipped to the customer. If a revision has been issued to the MSDS, this information will be included on a subsequent order since the last version. Note: when you revise the MSDS information on this tab, be sure to also change the MSDS Date on the inventory item main screen.
The MSDS text may include "tags" of the form <@tagname@> embedded in them. At print time, these tags are replaced with the contents of the MSDS Text record with the indicated id ("tagname"). For details on creating and maintaining the coversheet and user-definable tags, click on MSDS Text Viewer.
In addition to the coversheet tag, the following tags have special expansion rules and do not require creating a special MSDS Text record:
"clientname" is replaced by the contents of the Client Name field when the MSDS is printed
"itemname" is replaced by the contents of the Inventory Item Name field when the MSDS is printed
"itemid" is replaced by the contents of the Inventory Item Id field when the MSDS is printed
"itemidkeys" is replaced by the contents of the Inventory Item Id with dashes added
SECTION 1 CHEMICAL IDENTIFICATION, SECTION 2 INGREDIENTS HAZARDOUS UNDER OSHA 29 CFR PART 1910.1200 APPENDIX A & BSECTION 3 HAZARD IDENTIFICATION AND EMERGENCY OVERVIEW, etc.
As required by OSHA. Note that when MSDS sheets are printed, a coversheet is automatically added. The text for the coversheet is obtained from the MSDS Text record with the id of "coversheet". A coversheet tag should not be included in the MSDS tab itself or two coversheets will print.
Note: The text on this screen may be edited by the user. The Windows Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) function may be used to enter/edit data.
